Applications are invited for a postdoctoral researcher in Cognitive Neuroscience for the project “Crossmodal learning”.
The research focus will be on combining neuroimaging (fMRI, EEG) and behavioural measurements (also using virtual reality) to understand how the human brain can learn across different sensory modalities. The project is associated with the SFB/Transregio "Crossmodal Learning" of the University of Hamburg and four partner universities and research institutes in Beijing (China). As a University of Excellence, Hamburg is one of the strongest research universities in Germany.
The project (supervised by Prof. Dr. Michael Rose) will be based at the Institute of Systems Neuroscience (head: Prof Christian Büchel) at the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf in Hamburg, Germany.
Requirements:
- A PhD in neuroscience, cognitive science, psychology, biomedical engineering, computer science or a related discipline.
- Strong experience in programming and in analysing neuroimaging experiments Keen interest in experimental approaches to study human learning and memory.
- Motivation to work independently as well as in a team environment.
