Project A1 - Dynamic adaptation of multisensory processes by crossmodal recalibration
PIs: Prof. Dr. Bo Hong, Prof. Dr. Brigitte Röder
Project A1 will extend hierarchical causal inference models of multisensory integration. These models describe the degree to which two sensory cues are processed either collectively or individually in the brain, depending on (1) the detected sensory evidence and (2) the prior probability that these cues have the same origin. New paradigms are developed that allow varying both the prior probability and the sensory evidence. This project combines psychophysics, cognitive modelling, and electrophysiological techniques to highlight the functional principles and interdependence of multisensory integration and crossmodal learning.
