Project C9 - The role of mental models and sense of agency in learning crossmodal communicative acts
PIs: Prof. Dr. Xiaolan Fu, Dr. Jan Gläscher
Project C9 investigates Theory of Mind (ToM) and Sense of Agency (SoA) during novel communication using a sender-receiver-game that requires the sender to generate novel movement patterns (the message) as a means of communicating his/her goal position to the receiver. Using behavioural measures, eye-tracking, computational modelling, and neuronal data (MRI and MEG recordings), we will analyse the capabilities of generating mental models of the other player and use them to predict behaviour. These findings will be used to develop an artificial agent with ToM and SoA capacities that can successfully interact with humans in the sender-receiver context.
